Kenai River Fishing Report 7-11-2014

7/11/2014 – J. W. Snyder – Fishing the Kenai

Kenai River Fishing Report:

Sockeye are coming up the Kenai river hot and heavy. It’s a dipnet bonanza with the kickoff of the opener. Kings are not so hot since the department of fish and game closed fishing for kings till the end of July.

It’s a pink year so, as you can imagine when the Pink start running in August you’ll be lucky to get a chance at some Coho which should be running thick as well.

Until then there are Columbia river guided fishing opportunities available out of Oregon and Washington if your like to get out of state and give it a try you may be surprised by the excellent fishing avaiable there as well.

This concludes our 2014 Kenai River fishing report.
